Transportation is now the largest source of pollution in New York and the one sector where pollution levels are higher than they were in 1990. Beyond emissions, our transportation systems face many other critical challenges, including underfunding, cutbacks, and limited access to transit in low-income communities.
But it doesn’t have to be this way: we can have clean, accessible transportation for everyone that creates and connects people to good jobs and affordable housing.
